A Barbie party is typically what most little girls long for at some point in their young lives. Below you will find great tips for a fun Barbie party for the little girl in your life!

For a fun, home-made invitation, find pink or lavender card stock paper, cut an oval in the middle of the front cover, and then insert a picture of the birthday girl. Around the oval, include 'Barbie' hair, and use sparkly beads for a 'necklace'. Inside, something fun to get people to your party might include:
"Barbie and friends are coming to the party - won’t you?"
String pink and lavender crepe streamers along with pink, lavender, and Barbie balloons throughout the room. Use some Barbies for extra decorating, as well as Barbie accessories.
Create a "princess" castle, or borrow one from your local party store. Put this at the front entrance of your home, and include either a pink or a lavender carpet for the little "princesses" to walk on. As each little girl enters, crown them with an inexpensive tiara. Inside, drape pink and lavender sheers throughout the room, as well as clear ones with an iridescent look to them. This will add to the feel of the Barbie party. Make sure you have Barbie balloons and other Barbie posters hanging throughout the room as well.
Decorate your tables with pink or lavender plastic table cloths, different Barbie dolls, as well as Barbie plates, cups, napkins and cutlery. For placemats, purchase Barbie coloring books and put one page at each girl’s seat with crayons spread around the table. This will work as a great activity while the girls wait to eat!
Craft Ideas 2-6 Year Olds
Buy some Barbie "Shrinky Dinks" or a Barbie Paint-by-Number set and have everyone sit down to create their own special Barbie take home fun!
Break out the coloring books and have a coloring contest. "Most Colorful", "Most Creative", "Stays in between the lines", etc are great ideas to use for the little ones!
6-10 Year Olds
Barbie make-up - take turns with the girls making them look like "Barbie". Use face paint to paint sparkly stars, hearts, etc on the cheeks of your little party-goers.
Create a Tiara - have the girls use beads, stars, and child-friendly glue to create beautiful tiaras for themselves.
Game Ideas 2-6 Year Olds
Old-fashioned play time - get all the Barbie stuff together and just let the little girls play. They will have a great time playing and will stay occupied until the next activity!
Barbie look-alike contest - have "princess" gowns, tiaras, wands, and sparkly shoes (or maybe just your own shoes lent to the little ones) and take pictures with either a digital or a Polariod for a lasting memory.
6-10 Year Olds
Decorate Barbies - break out the Barbie dolls, shoes, cars, clothes, ribbons, etc and create a Barbie Decorating Contest. Again, "Most Creative", "Most like Barbie", etc are some fun ideas to use.
Have each girl bring their bike and decorate with Barbie paraphernalia. Then, have a race, with the winner being crowned "Barbie Princess". Have a Barbie as a prize for winning.
Food Ideas Kids love food! With too many activities and crafts, it may be difficult to incorporate too much food, but here is a fun, easy food idea to match with the theme of the party:
Barbie cookies - what greater treat for the little ones? Purchase sugar cookie dough (or make it yourself), and give each girl her own Barbie cookie, already decorated.
For healthy snacks, try some carrots, pretzels, and tomatoes with dip. Kids will love them, and it will keep their sugar level down a little lower.
Incorporating just a few of these ideas will ensure your little guests have a great time with Barbie!
Above all - have FUN and don't forget to take lots of photos.
