Depending on the person and their taste, there are a variety of ideas to consider when putting together a cake for the bridal shower. Consider the following ideas to ensure your bridal shower is a success for the future bride:
• Color matching. If you know the colors of the wedding; for example, lavender and deep purple; you can have a cake made with white frosting and lavender and deep purple accents. Incorporate some deep purple “icing” flowers along the top, with the writing in lavender, or vise versa for an elegant, yet beautiful way to celebrate the upcoming wedding of the bride.
• Flower matching. If you know the flowers that the bride is having in her wedding, you can purchase a cake that includes flowers that match the flowers that will be carried either by the bride or her bridesmaids. This is a beautiful way to tie the shower with the wedding itself.
• Miniature wedding cake. If you can obtain information on who is making the wedding cake, you can have the same people create a miniature cake similar to the one that will be at the reception. Yet another elegant, wonderful way to create a fantastic memory for the bride.
• Favorite things. A little “out of the box” thinking can be fun for a non-traditional bride.
