This manner of clown, the court jester later also took on other clown-like attributes, such as juggling, dance and acrobatics. Modern clowns are known as much for their vibrant and outrageous costumes as they are for their comedic skills. Clowns who operate in a circus, for example, may walk a tight rope, wear stilts, juggle, perform magic tricks, tell jokes or perform amazing stunts on horseback. There is even a special 'Rodeo Clown' who will dress in full rodeo costume and ride bucking broncos to please the crowd. Holding a clown party can be done in many ways, and is the ideal treat for a children's party. A clown party can be used to celebrate a birthday or the end of the school term. There are a number of different ways in which you can approach this. You could organise a trip to the circus, hire a clown children's entertainer, or even bring a touch of the circus to your back yard with a clown inspired party. Offer prizes to the child with the brightest clown costume or even just have fun with face paints. A bouncy castle or trampoline is another great way to entertain and in the spirit of clowns you could organize water pistol and cream pie fights.
