Perching Parrot - A Fun Kid Craft Project for Your Next Kid Party

Here is a fun kid craft project that will entertain and delight the kids.

Any kid aged between 3 and 10 will be fascinated with this fun activity!

You will need:

construction paper,
modelling clay,
scissors and
colored markers or paint

Save the parrot template to your hard drive and print it out.
Cut it out and stick it to the construction paper
Color it in or paint is with bright colors
Put a lump of modelling clay on the end of the tail
Balance your parrot on the end of your finger or on a pencil perch. It should rock to and fro on its perch. You may have to add to or take away some clay to get the balance just right.

What happens:The weight of the modelling clay makes the centre of gravity of the parrot occur just below the point where it touches the perch. This makes the parrot balance. What happens if you take away some of the modelling clay?
