Craft Ideas:

2-6 yr olds

• Have Sponge Bob face painting or Tattoos to start off your party! www.orientaltrading.com is a great place to find some great Sponge Bob face craft fun!
• Create your own Sponge Bob. Using different body parts, hats, ties, etc, have your kids create their own Sponge Bob! Starting with the Sponge Bob body, have all the different parts available, along with double stick tape or child-friendly glue. The kids will have a blast dressing him up for the party!

6-10 yr olds

• Have your guests re-create Sponge Bob’s home, using a fresh pineapple and different items as found in Sponge Bob’s home. Use the pineapple innards later for a wonderful, frozen treat! (see below for food ideas)
• Help your guests create their own Sponge Bob calendars (for the upcoming year!). With each month, have them take a coloring page out of a coloring book and use it to create that month’s theme. Or, allow them to use their own creativity to decorate the calendars themselves. (Make sure you print the actual calendars in advance)

Game Ideas:

2-6 yr olds:

• Puzzle races are always fun! Have different types of Sponge Bob puzzles available, and time the kids as they race to finish the puzzles! Make sure to have a pair of Sponge Bob slippers or a t-shirt available as a prize for the winner!
• Snail races! You can purchase small snails at your local pet store or bait shop. (make sure the kids are not too squeamish!) Give each child a "Gary", and in a chalk-designed race track, set a timer for 60-120 seconds to see whose snail can go the farthest! The one whose snail even moves, wins!

6-10 yr olds:

• Here is a Spongebob SquarePants Gummy Candy Kit. This kit makes 16 Ready-to-Eat gummy candies in under 10 minutes and are great party activities and favors! NO oven, NO microwave -- Instructions are Easy as 1, 2, 3... fill bottle with warm water and add flavored mixture, shake, shake, shake and squeeze mixture into the plastic molds, place in refrigerator for 5 minutes. As an option one can sprinkle flavored Sour Sugars over the candies. Ideally for ages 4+. Various flavor refills are sold separately.
• Have your guests number a piece of paper from 1-10, and then ask them different questions about Sponge Bob. The one with the most answers right, wins!
• Take your guests on a Sponge Bob adventure! Using a small child’s swimming pool, fill it half-way with water. Give your guests different items to create a new Sponge Bob cartoon adventure, live. Make sure you video tape it so the kids can have a great memory of the cartoon they created!

Food Idea:

Kids love food! With too many activities and crafts, it may be difficult to incorporate too much food, but here is a fun, easy food idea to match with the theme of the party:

Take the pineapple from the "pineapple house" created at craft time, and create frozen pineapple pops! Using popsicle makers from the store (Target or Wal-Mart will carry them), take the pineapple, add a little lime juice and a tiny bit of sugar, mix together, and with only enough water to fill the popsicle maker, you will create pineapple pops! The kids will love them, and they are a healthy treat for all to enjoy!
