Surprise your birthday girl with her berry own Strawberry house! The personalized cardboard house will be a special hideaway long after her birthday!
The easiest way to decorate any themed party is to get a party pack. They are available as a big, bigger and biggest Kit-N-Kaboodle. Tie lots of red and pink balloons in big bunches and hang from the lightfittings. The bigger the bunch the greater the effect.
Fill your birthday party with fun with a 23" Strawberry Shortcake mylar balloon.
Download Strawberry Shortcake and a few of her friends. Enlarge them to your child's size, laminate them and stick them to the walls. You could even use them as prizes during group activities.
Light strawberry scented candles. This will fill the room with a lovely aroma and get everyone in the mood. Put them where they won't be knocked over!
Download and print a strawberry landmural. Provide clipart and Strawberry scented Stickers and let the little guests decorate to their hearts' content.
As the children arrive let them help make a huge "Berry Happy Birthday" card. Each guest must add her name and a few decorations to it. Provide stickers, printed out Strawberry Shortcake & friends pictures, glitter, markers etc.
Prepare nametags beforehand and let each guest decorate her own with stickers and markers. (This is only appropriate if the kids do not know each other! ;-) )
Give each little girl her own berry hat to decorate. Provide beads, satin flowers and ribbon.
A Hat Craft Kit is available. Have each guest pose for a photo showing off her hat. Let the birthday girl pose with her. As a nice gesture, include the photo in your thank you note!
Stick a blank construction paper banner to the wall, low enough that the guests can reach. Let them decorate the banner using markers and printouts of Strawberry Shortcake and her friends. Encourage them to draw themselves and add a special message for the birthday girl.
Crafts (Free Play)
Have 4 or 5 activity centres set up ahead of the party. Each centre has a craft activity or two and can accommodate either a single child or a small group of children. Make name tags for each activity centre and name them after Strawberry Shortcake characters. (Ginger Snap, Blueberry Muffin, Angel Cake and, if some of the guests are boys, how about a Huccleberry Pie Station with activities specifically chosen for boys? - the girls can skip this one if they want!) Use the graphics you've downloaded to decorate the name tags.
Activity Centre Ideas:
Provide a beaded neclace activity. You could buy any beads that will fit the color scheme and let the little guests have fun making themselves a pretty necklace! A bead kit is available as well as a jewelry kraft kit.
Have an activity centre with coloring pages, crayons or washable markers. These pages can later on be used as place mats. Here is another source for coloring pages.
Download these paper dolls with clothes. Provide scissors, construction paper, glue and markers. Watch them cut and paste and have lots of fun decorating their dolls' clothes! The older kids can cut and paste their own dolls but the younger ones will need some assistance.
"Duck Duck Goose" played as "Straw Straw Berry" or "Strawberry Strawberry Shortcake"
"Musical Hats" Place the straw hats you got for the hat decorating activity on a tabel with one hat less than guests. Let the kids walk around the table with party music playing. When the music stops they must grab a hat and put it on. The kid without a hat is out.
"Pin the tail" Blow up a picture of Honey the horse. Make tails from yarn or construction paper. Each kid gets the chance to stick the tail to Honey.
"Guess how many" Fill a bottle with M & M's. Let each kid guess how many there are. The winner gets the M & M's.
"Wrap the Mummy" Divide the kids in two groups. Give each group a roll of toilet paper. They race each other wrapping one of the team members.
Cake Ideas

Another simple and easy new idea is this Strawberry Shortcake Edible Do It Yourself Cake Art Image.You bake and frost a rectangular cake.
